Double Dutch
Sold!

2007 Grey colt. Should mature about 16.2.
This is a top of the range colt
foal that not only has all the potential in becoming a great
showjumper but also has what it takes to become a top stallion
approved by the KWPN!
His pedigree alone is the best with legends such as Argentinus/Quidam
de Revel & Corrado I.
Sire; Argentinus, 2005 Hanoverian Stallion of the year. In 1996
he was the youngest millionaire among Germany's stallions and is
now the most successful sire still active in breeding in
Germany. A successful advanced level jumper himself, this
Performance Class I, Main Premium Champion stallion has
effectively enriched the breeding and sport scene with a
versatility that is probably unique anywhere
Numerous Argentinus off-spring have been found with the best in
international show jumping and dressage for years. More than 20
licensed sons (including the stallion performance test winner
and Vechta price-breaker, August der Starke) and numerous State
Premium mares many of which have proved themselves at national
level (including the German Broodmare Show, FN Performance
Studbook) add up to make him an absolutely exceptional stallion.
Argentinus is licensed for all German breeding associations
(with the exception of Holstein), O.S.I., Austria, Switzerland,
Sweden, France, Belgium, the Netherlands EXand Italy.
Following his successful stallion performance test, Argentinus
achieved many successes in showjumping up to advanced (S) class.
He was awarded the I a main premium on account of his superb
progeny in 1984. In 1996 he was the youngest millionaire of
Germany’s top stallions, and is meanwhile the most successful
living sire in Germany. Argentinus is omnipresent whether it is
in breeding or sport, at mare shows or approvals, in the
dressage arena or on the showjumping course. More than 30 of his
sons have been approved, including Arko III (private stallion
GBR; eleventh in the 2004 Olympic showjumping final under Nick
Skelton/GBR, and third most successful showjumper of the season)
and Adlantus As FRH (private stallion Hesse; with his rider Lars
Nieberg part of the German showjumping team at the WEG in 2002
Jerez/ESP, which took fourth place). Furthermore, he presented
Asti Spumante (state stallion Bavaria; under Thomas Mühlbauer
winner of the 2004 Grand Prix in Munich), Anchorman
(highest-priced showjumper in Vechta and successful in Nations
Cups), Air Jordan (successful with Edouard Mathé/FRA in the
tournament series Sires of the World), August der Starke
(stallion performance test winner, price record holder of the
Vechta auction and under Victoria Max-Theurer/AUT on the way to
Grand Prix dressage) and St. Ludwigs Aquilino/Eva Senn/SUI.
Other well-known horses produced by Argentinus are Anka, who
came second in the Riders Tour with Marcus Ehning, Irish
Independent Annabella/Cian O´Connor, the World Cup qualification
winner Special Ed/Jill Henselwood/CAN, as well as Acajou/Toni
Hassmann, and Anastasia III/Bill Twooney/IRE. The most famous
Argentinus progeny in the dressage sport are Heike Kemmer’s
European team gold winner Albano, the European young riders’
champion Achill/Benjamin Werndl, the three times Paralympics
world vice-champion Fabiola/ Hannelore Brenner, the federal
champion and up to Grand Prix trained Amaretto 50, as well as
Aleppo S-OLD/both Isabell Werth.
Dam is by Quidam de Revel;2004, Quidam de Revel topped the World
Breeding Championships Jumping Stallion ratings for the second
year running, establishing himself as the pre-eminent – and most
expensive – living sire of jumping horses. With ten (!) of his
progeny jumping at the WEG in Jerez 2002, he was the stallion
with the most number of progeny at this level.
Quidam was himself a jumping star; a member of the French
Olympic Team, and fourth individually at the Barcelona Olympic
Games with Herve Godignon. A year later the patriotic French
breeders were shocked when Danish businessman, Flemming Velin
purchased the stallion for a still secret sum, believed to be a
record at the time.
In an article in HORSE INTERNATIONAL (No 1 – 2003), Velin told
the journalist, Pernille Linder Velander: “I am a Thoroughbred
person. Quidam is the kind of horse that appeals to me. He is a
perfect beauty. If you compare him to the legendary Northern
Dancer, you could hardly tell who is who. They could be twins.”
But Mr Velin got more than a breeding stallion, he purchased the
ultimate ‘school-master’ for his son, Thomas, taking him on to
win such prestigious events as the Grand Prix of Hannover.
According to Thomas: “The feeling I got from Quidam has taught
me what it should feel like to sit on a really good horse. If
you have not had that experience, you simply cannot imagine what
it can be like. When in the air, if needed, Quidam could just…
like put in another gear, make another effort and jump higher
still even after taking off from the ground.”
Quidam de Revel unites two of the most important lines of the
Selle Français horse – the lines of Jalisco and Uriel.
Jalisco is a legend in his own right, but Quidam’s dam was also
a star – Dirka, despite being only 163 cms, won at international
level with Nelson Pessoa, before being given to Xavier Leredde
who made his junior international debut on her.
Returned to her breeder, Prince Amaury de Broglie, Dirka was
bred to Sans Souci, to produce two international competitors,
Orka and Paprika de Revel, then with Jalisco B she produced
Quidam de Revel and the broodmares, Razzia and Sarah de Revel.
With Jalisco’s half brother, Kisosovo, she produced CSO winner,
Vallon Rouge, and with Narcos, Aiglon Rouge, a star in Holland.
With Quat’sous, she produced Byra Rouge, and with Pappillon
Rouge, Dirka de Revel. What a mare!
Dirka’s dam, Ondine de Baugy produced five broodmares, and from
them came the stallions, Sheyenne and Sioux de Baugy. Ondine’s
dam Nadine produced five foals, all by Nankin. Troubadour B, won
the 6 year old final and jumped at international level; Uriel,
the most influential national stallion of the Selle Français
book, and star of the great St Lô stud; Commander, an
international competitor for Switzerland; Daguet de Baugy, a CSI
winner for Belgium, and Voulzie, the dam of Furiel de Baugy.
Quidam’s pre-eminence as a sire was confirmed at the 2002 WEG in
Jerez, where he was the sire of more showjumping participants
than any other stallion.
Current performers include: Goldy, Guidan, Circa Z, Tlalloc La
Silla, Nabab de Rêve, Dollars Boy, Hermès St Lois, Happy Villers,
Jadis de Toscane, Belsedène d’Amaury, Bamby II, Baie Mahault,

Concordes Flight

2007 Bay colt foal. Should mature
about 16.3.
This Colt foal has looks, presence and
sharpness, great movement and has what it takes to go to the top
in showjumping! His full brother is an International Showjumper,
"Olaf" (Ridden by Leon Thijsen) and both horses have a superb
pedigree, Concorde/Voltaire/Ramiro & Lucky Boy!
Sire: Concorde comes from very strong jumping lines on both
sides. Sire of this stallion, who in jumping circles is known as
Olympic Concorde, is the impressive dominant breeding stallion
Voltaire, who via his sire Furioso II and Gotthard is bred to
perform. Voltaire is the number 2 in the World Breeding Rankings
for Showjumping Sires in 1996. Voltaire through the performances
of his offspring stands very high in both the dressage and
jumping indexes. Due to his high ranking position, Voltaire was
given the 'keur' and 'preferen' predicates at a very early age.
Concorde's dam, Flyer, is by the legendary Marco Polo, one of
the most influential Dutch stallions in breeding and jumping
with representatives such as: Irco Polo, Pybalia, Marius,
Orpheus, Mr LA, Pierrot and Recruut.Flyer is related to the
international jumper Vivaldi, which under Melanie Smith was
speed horse of the Year in 1980. Flyer produced at least 6 (inter)national
jumpers. Concorde was himself an international jumper with Jos
Lansink. They won the Grand Prix of Nordrhein-Westfalen at Aken
and they were Champion of the Netherlands in 1994, 2nd in the
Grand Prix of Amsterdam, 2nd Darmstadt, 2nd Lanaken, 2nd
Helsinki and 2nd Gothenburg. The last three years Concorde was
the sire with the most offspring at the World Breeding
Championships for young horses. The Œpreferent¹ Concorde has
proved himself to be an absolute top sire of international
sporthorses. His offspring Audi¹s Jikke, Kathja, Conquest II,
Larino, Viktor and Isabella proved themselves at the very top at
Grand Prix level (1.60 m.) and World Cup jumping. In the Grand
Prix of Rotterdam 3 from the top 8, had Concorde to thank as
their sire. At the World Cup final at Las Vegas had 4 offspring
in the finals! Concorde was the youngest stallion ever to be
awarded Œpreferent¹, due to his endless list of national and
international children.. Concorde was elected ³Horse of the
Year² in 2004 and is the highest ranked KWPN stallion in the top
ten of the WBFSH!!
Lucky Boy contributed a string of top jumpers to the
international scene. There was Willi Melliger’s Van Gogh, and
The Freak with Hugo Simon and later Dirk Hafemeister, and Anne
Kursinski’s Medrano – and all three of them were in Los Angeles
for the 1984 Olympic Games.
In fact, the Lucky Boys seemed to come in threes, because three
years later, the winning American team in the Nations Cup at
Spruce Meadows found room for three Lucky Boy offspring: VIP and
Debbie Dolan, Victor and Joan Scharffenberger, and Anne
Kursinski and Medrano.
Other international performers include Urchin (Rene Tebbel),
Logo (Dianne Shaw), Dutch Regard (Mike McCormick), Revlon Rascal
(Lisa Tarnopol), Servus (Martha Burstein), Windsor (Guido
Dominici), Zazou (Phillip Heffer), US Neopolitan (Annemarie
Kynsilehto) and Bokilly (Eugenie Legrand, now Eugenie Angot).
Lucky Boy’s sire, Compromise is rich in the blood that says
‘jump’ on any Thoroughbred pedigreee. Phalaris (three times) and
Bayardo (twice).
Lucky Boy produced 16 stallion sons, the most famous of which
was Octrooi, who had a successful career in the USA under the
name, Best of Luck. Interestingly, he was out of a mare by yet
another Thoroughbred sire, Koridon.
Best of Luck, competed in Europe as a Grand Prix jumper where he
was a champion, and in North America where he was a Champion
Hunter. A horse of elegance and impressive appearance, Best Of
Luck sired winners in all Hunter and Jumper divisions from
Junior / Amateur to Open, Puissance and International Grand
Prix, as well as FEI dressage and Combined Training champions.
He scored over 100 points in both Dressage and Jumping on the
Dutch Stallion Index.
Lucky Boy is also proving a valuable brood mare sire. Beezie
Maddan’s current star, Authentic is by Guidam but out of a
grand-daughter of Lucky Boy. Rolf-Goran Bengtssen‘s Mac Kinley
is out of a great grand-daughter of Lucky Boy. Katharina Offel’s
top horse, Nike, is by Indoctro out of a daughter of Octrooi.
