Windbrook Farm sells horses that embody our ideals. Attractive, athletic, SAFE horses. This is what we breed for. These traits are evident in our home breds as they combine athleticism with easy dispositions. We also occasionally offer superior horses imported from Ireland and, when we find them, local horses that meet our standards. We do not breed or sell a high volume of horses because we want to ensure we are able to give each horse, especially the young ones, the time and attention they need and deserve. Our foals are handled at least twice daily throughtout their first year of life and all lead well, load in the trailer and stand for the farrier. The yearlings have all had a saddle on their back and have been sat on when lying down. This pays off when it is time to break them when they are older. We break the young horses when they are two and then turn them out for another year to mature before starting light work at three and more serious work at age four.
